Aluminium Die-Casting Machines – Refurbishment

At INES d.o.o., we specialize in complete refurbishment of aluminium die-casting machines. The refurbishment process is managed systematically, transparently, and in close cooperation with the customer – from the initial inspection to the final return of the fully refurbished machine.

  • Guide pillars and guide rails – through refurbishment or the manufacture of new components, we ensure precise guidance and machine stability.
  • Bushings and guide wear plates – made from wear-resistant materials for long service life and reduced friction.
  • Toggle mechanisms – refurbishment and modification for reliable operation of the clamping system.
  • Clamping nuts for guide pillars (clamping nuts or locking mechanisms) – precision manufacture and refurbishment of critical locking components.
  • Moving and fixed platens – the process includes controlled weld build-up of worn surfaces followed by CNC machining to ensure alignment, perpendicularity, and flatness.

How Does the Refurbishment Process Work?

  1. Initial inspection and estimate – our specialist visits the customer, inspects the machine, assesses its condition, and prepares an initial quotation.
  2. Delivery of the machine to our facility – once confirmed, the machine is delivered to our company, where it is completely dismantled.
  3. Inspection and damage assessment – all components are carefully inspected, wear is measured, damage to critical parts is evaluated, and a detailed report with estimated costs is prepared.
  4. Agreement with the customer – together, we define the most appropriate refurbishment scope and decide which components should be refurbished, repaired, or replaced.
  5. Refurbishment of components and systems – the process is not limited to mechanical parts. If required, we also refurbish or replace the central lubrication system, hydraulic assemblies, electrical components, and other supporting systems.
  6. Engineering involvement – a development engineer is involved throughout the entire process to define work procedures, machining tolerances, and quality standards.
  7. Reassembly and testing – after refurbishment, the machine is fully reassembled, measured, and functionally tested to ensure it is returned to the customer in fully operational condition.

Long-Term Solutions

With this type of refurbishment, we can often restore reliable operation by renewing the machine’s key components. When only individual components are manufactured or replaced, we can frequently extend the machine’s service life for a considerable period.

This provides the customer with a cost-effective solution that allows production to continue without major investment and helps ensure that commitments to their own customers can be met on time.

Why Choose Us

  • Complete refurbishment process – from the initial inspection to final assembly.
  • A combination of development engineering expertise and hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Refurbishment or replacement of the machine’s supporting systems where required.
  • Full quality control, with all key processes carried out under one roof.

After the refurbishment is completed, we continue to support the customer with ongoing machine maintenance – manufacturing worn parts, supplying replacement components, and providing solutions where a complete refurbishment is not necessary and replacing or manufacturing individual assemblies is sufficient.
